Learn to Earn Workshops serve as a supplement to a university's career services center. Focusing on students' skill sets (not just their majors), we help them target those skills as benefits to their future employer.

As a visiting career placement expert, Alice Swanson offers 1- and 2-hour Workshops, plus 1-hour One-on-One Consulting Sessions with individual students conducted over the course of 3 to 5 days.

The Learn to Earn Workshop curriculum includes:

1- and 2-hour Workshops
•	How to define skills & interests
•	Identifying jobs within those skills and interests
•	Researching companies that have those jobs
•	Setting up and conducting informational interviews (what to ask, how to follow up)
•	Basic Interviewing Techniques
•	Presentational Skills
•	Networking
•	Overview of resumes and cover letters
•	Basics tips regarding references, voicemails, e-mails and follow-through
•	Learning to react to different interview styles

1-hour One-on-One Sessions
•	Personal guidance on skills and interests
•	Review of resume
•	Development of cover letters for specific jobs
•	Online research for industries
•	Preparation for interviews (both informational and actual job)
•	Guidance on how to respond to interview questions, salary negotiation, benefits
•	Identifying jobs within the targeted geographic area
•	Salary negotiations and real-world expectations
